The AED is pegged to the USD at a fixed rate of 3.6725 AED per USD, set by the UAE Central Bank (CBUAE). The INR, however, floats against the USD and is influenced by India's trade balance, RBI monetary policy, global oil prices, and FII flows into Indian markets.
This means the AED/INR rate moves whenever the USD/INR rate moves. When the Indian Rupee weakens (more INR per USD), you get more INR for your AED — which is why many UAE expats watch this rate closely, especially before WPS salary day.
There is no guaranteed "best time" to send AED to India. The rate fluctuates throughout the trading day as INR moves against USD. Historically, rates have been slightly more favorable during London/Europe trading hours (12:00–16:00 GST) when FX liquidity is highest. However, rate timing is speculative — most senders prioritize provider cost (fee + rate margin) over trying to time the market.
