Measured market transparency
UAE Remittance Price Transparency Index
This index measures whether listed UAE remittance providers publish a complete, source-linked price for each corridor. A complete price must contain the exchange rate, fee and recipient amount from one current offer. Documented fees are classified separately and never used to manufacture a total.
What the index measures
The coverage contract measures the five principal AED outbound corridors at the standard 1,000 AED comparison amount. Every listed provider–corridor cell is classified under the same complete-price, documented-fee and unresolved-price rules stated below.
- Corridors in scope
- 5
- Standard amount
- 1,000 AED

How the index is calculated
- 1A price counts as COMPLETE only when the rate, the fee and the amount received come from the same capture, for the same amount and payout method, are internally consistent, are fresh, and are linked to stored evidence (§5.6). Nothing is estimated or filled in.
- 2A DOCUMENTED FEE means the provider publishes a fee in its own CBUAE Key Facts Statement or schedule of charges, and the exact published text was found in that live document. It is not combined with an exchange rate to manufacture a total.
- 3The denominator is the versioned coverage contract — every provider the product lists for that corridor, not the providers that happened to respond.
- 4World Bank Remittance Prices Worldwide figures are an independent survey of a past quarter, shown per surveyed send amount because cost depends on the amount. They are context, never our measurement, and never a current price.
- 5This index deliberately does not name a cheapest provider. That requires three complete comparable offers in one corridor, which the UAE market does not yet give us.
